About Friendstribe and the Information We Collect
Friendstribe is an online social networking community that connects people through networks of friends for meeting or making new friends. To accomplish this, our users create their own profiles and a personal network. A personal network consists of a user's friends as well as the extended group of people that a user is connected to via chains of mutual friends.
Friendstribe recognized the importance of protecting the privacy of information we may collect from our users. To this end, we are committed to using our best efforts to respect the privacy of our users. Information submitted to Friendstribe
To activate the Friendstribe service, each user must create a unique account and password to the system. Friendstribe also collects user submitted email address and profile information. Your profile contains information about yourself that you supply to the application. Some of the profile information you can supply are your interests, hobbies and favorite things. Your account and some sections of your profile will be visible to the public. We recommend that you take care when setting up your account and choosing what information you divulge in your profile as this information is viewable by other users.

This is information we collect that is not personally identifiable, such as browser type and IP address. This information is gathered for all users to the site.
Use of Information Obtained by Friendstribe
Information users submit to Friendstribe
Account name, profile information and photos are displayed to support the function of the site as social networking community where users can meet new people. Email address and full name are used when a user invites a friend via email to join the service, when a user requests to add another user to their friend list, and when we send notifications to a user related to their use of the service. Except when inviting or adding friends, a user's email address is not shared or displayed with neither the public nor to people within a user's personal network. Users within a personal network communicate on Friendstribe with each other through the Friendstribe service, without disclosing email addresses.
We may also use a user's email address to send weekly updates or news regarding our site, but the user may choose not to receive email of this type by accessing their account profile.
Also during the registration process, the user will be requested to enter in their mobile phone number and local phone carrier. This is necessary in order to receive text messages from the system. During the registration process, we will send a validation code to the user's mobile phone which must be returned to ensure that the mobile phone belongs to the specific user. The user's mobile phone number and local carrier are not shared or displayed with neither the public nor to people within a user's personal network.

Sharing of the Information this Site Gathers/Tracks
As a matter of policy, we will not give, sell, rent, share, trade or otherwise transfer email addresses or personally identifiable information gathered and maintained by Friendstribe to any other party for the purpose of initiating or enabling others to initiate electronic mail messages. Except where information is required to be disclosed by a government body or court of competent jurisdiction or by operation of law, but only to the extent so required. We may also disclose user information whenever we believe disclosure is necessary to limit our legal liability; to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users. However, Friendstribe may share profile information and aggregate usage information in a non-personally identifiable manner to advertisers and other third parties in order to present to members more targeted advertising, products and services. In such situations we will never disclose information that will be used to personally identify you. The site may use third party contractors to maintain certain functions on the site but these contractors are prohibited from using the information they access for their own promotional purposes.

Invite a Friend
If a user elects to use our Invite feature to invite a friend to our site, we ask them for the friend's email address. Friendstribe will automatically send the friend an email inviting them to join the site. Friendstribe does not store this email address, it is only used to send the invitation.
Chat Rooms, Message Boards, and Public Forums
Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online for example on message boards, through e-mail, or in chat areas - that information can be collected and used by others. In short, by posting personal information online that is publicly accessible, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.

Your Friendstribe account is password-protected. This web site takes precautions to protect our users' information. We use industry standard measures to protect your information that is stored within our database. We limit the access to your information to those employees who need access to perform their job function such as our customer service personnel. Email Choice/Opt-out
