At Badoo your privacy is of paramount importance. As the custodians of your personal information, we have developed this policy to ensure that your privacy is always protected while you are using the Badoo network.
By accessing or using the site, you agree to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not access or use this site.
A special note about children
We do not knowingly market to or encourage children, minors or anyone under the age of 18 to use our service and we request that children do not submit information to us.
About Badoo and the information we collect
Badoo operates a social network offering users a set of tools to connect to our global community. The Badoo network is free to use for all members meeting our age criteria.
In our online registration form, we ask you to provide us with certain information such as your name, your email address, your gender, your date of birth, your location details and some optional details about yourself. These details are available to you anytime, and capable of being corrected or updated (with the exception of gender and profile address), through your "Profile" page.
At your own discretion, you may choose to post additional facts about yourself on your profile, such as your occupation, level of education, religious denomination, interests, etc. While some members freely elect to include their names in their profile, it is not requested or required.
While using our site, we will automatically track certain information such as your IP and email address. Many sites collect this kind of information for analytical purposes. If you choose to divulge personal information using any of our means of communication, such as electronic messaging, the amount of personal information you divulge becomes your own personal responsibility. We reserve the right to terminate the accounts of visitors who use this site in a manner inconsistent with our Terms of Use.

Your use of other users' information
You may not use other users' information for commercial purposes, to spam, to harass, or to make unlawful threats. We reserve the right to terminate the accounts of those who misuse other users' information or who otherwise violate the Terms of Use.
Notification of unread messages.
If you have a number of messages waiting for you and you have not logged in to the service for an extended period, we may at our discretion contact you via your registered email address to notify you of the unread messages. Should you still not read and remove these messages then we may remove the messages as part of our data cleansing process.
Control of your password
You may not disclose your password to any third parties or share it with any third parties. If, despite the foregoing, you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personal information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately change your password. This can be done via your "Settings" page.

Badoo has security measures in place to protect and prevent the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. Badoo uses industry standard efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information such as firewalls. While "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet, our technical experts at Badoo work hard to ensure your secure use of our site.
Update/Delete
Users of the Badoo network have the following choices to modify or delete their information from our database:
Send a message to Customer Service;
Sign in with your password and modify or delete your profile. These options are available from your "Settings" page.
Invite a Friend
If a user decides to use our Invitation option to invite a friend to our site, we ask them for the friend's email address. Badoo will automatically send the friend an email inviting them to join the site. Badoo stores this email address for the purpose of automatically associating the friend with the user sending the invitation, and also to send reminders of the invitation. Badoo does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations and invitation reminders. The friend may contact Badoo to request the removal of this information from our database.
Uploading your Contacts
If a user decides to upload their contacts, they accept that by doing so, an email invitation will be sent on their behalf, to the email addresses of the contacts that are being uploaded and that from time to time, a reminder email could be sent to that contact. Badoo stores the name and email address of the contacts for the purpose of automatically associating the friend with the user sending the invitation and to send reminders of the invitation on the user's behalf. Badoo does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations and invitation reminders.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
If we decide to change our privacy policy or email practices, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a notice on our homepage. |
